Instead of being boiled alive in the cocoon as happens in conventional silk production, the silkworm is given a choice to either re-enter the cocoon or to emerge from it, and when they do, their silk is harvested. Our Peace silk is made by farmers in Assam, India, who weave these fabrics on their own spinning wheels with environmentally friendly materials. Unlike most other types of silk that require heavy chemical processing, all our fabrics are earth-friendly and hand-processed.
